Our CHANGE program has INNOVATED once again and this time this innovation is called CHANGEMAKER LAB. A ‘LAB’ to create and test solutions and to respond to global challenges that Mozambique faces.
CHANGEMAKER LAB is a sort of laboratory and incubator that, during a two month period, will bring together our Girl MOVERS’ TALENT and ENERGY and companies’, specialists’ and mentors’ KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE about the Mozambican business ecosystem and combine it with the global vision of the Sustainable Development Goals.
We sent the challenge out to Mozambican companies and organizations so that they could identify challenges and opportunities that would generate more sustainability and would develop the informal economy. The result? 9 challenges!
For those challenges, real solutions will be created and tested in Nampula’s ecosystem.

CHANGEMAKER LAB’s learning process
happens in the interaction with various players, from companies, partners, specialists, facilitators to Nampula’s community itself, the final consumers.
A dynamic, iterative process that promotes the continual improvement of the solution created along 3 stages.

After mapping out the challenges with companies and organizations, team formation follows.
Knowing the challenge and identifying the real market opportunities with the clients and beneficiaries themselves, is the first step – discovering, validating assumptions and ideas to define prototyping plans to come. The goal is to learn, with reality, and to transfer those teachings to sustainable business models and effective solutions with impact.
United, for a more inclusive, resilient and sustainable future. The challenges are launched!
Let the adventure begin. 🙂

“I admit that sometimes I even think that this social distancing has brought us closer to the empathy and responsibility of becoming a united movement of strength, energy and inspiration for the families and communities that live outside the Academy with their challenges, which have become much more global than local.”

Believe, Lead, Change closer than ever

We taught our Mwarusis our distancing from crowds dance and together we danced in a space so safe that the only noise that could be heard was the connection of our voices. We taught them how to make D.I.Y. masks that they can donate to their families, in case of it being necessary to go out to get essentials.
