IMPACT TALK by Filipe Santos

Filipe Santos is the Alfredo da Silva Professor of Social Innovation and Dean of CATÓLICA-LISBON since February 2019. He also holds the Chair Girl Move Academy for Innovation. He is Visiting Professor of Social Entrepreneurship at INSEAD, a School where he was a Professor of Entrepreneurship for 12 years between 2003 and 2014. At INSEAD, Professor Santos led ICE – INSEAD Centre for Entrepreneurship from 2009 to 2013 and was founder and Academic Director of the INSEAD Social Entrepreneurship Initiative from 2007 to 2014.

IMPACT TALK by Alexandra Machado

Social entrepreneur. Passionate about empowering women as Changemakers to break the cycle of poverty of developing countries. With focus on Africa as a rising continent to fight against world inequalities. Strong believer of Leadership as an act of Love! Alexandra Machado is the General Manager and Founder of Girl Move Academy. She has been nominated as an Ashoka Fellow since May 2018, the only Portuguese woman being selected so far. She volunteers as a Member of the Board of Eslider, Member of the Board of CPSJB and Member of the International Advisory Board of Leadership Impact Knowledge Center from Nova SBE. Alexandra was the General Manager for Nike Portugal, from 2003 until 2012.

Rita Megre

Graduated in Social Communication in Católica-Lisbon School. How e ver, she disco verde her path when she post graduated in Social Management in COMUNICARTE and in the Cândido Mendes University, in Rio de Janeiro. Her course in Social Entrepreneurship in INSEAD, em Fontainebleau was also a great contribution for her ha ha moment and her definition of value and pleasure. Co-founder of IES Social Business School, she has invested a lot of her time and energy in training and giving mentorship to social entrepreneurs in Portugal, Brasil and Mozambique since then. Working as an Academic Director in Girl MOVE Academy since 2016.

Rafaela Lemos

Social Educator, with education in Physical Education, a Specialization in Pedagogy of Cooperation and a Post-Graduation in Human Rights, Gender and Sexuality. She is a Facilitator of Colaborative Methodologies and Social Innovation at Girl MOVE Academy; Consultant of Diversity and Inclusion in Cooperation Project; Co-organiser of FICOO – Festival Internacional da Cooperação; Titular Member of the Department of studies and practices about Diversity, Gender and Sexuality of the Federal Institute Bahia – Campus Uruçuca.

Marta Pinto Coelho Roff

Passionate about people, diversity and inclusion. Positive thinker, solution driven and motivational team leader with global perspective and exceptionally accurate multicultural understanding. Her purpose is to help people & organizations building bridges and creating meaningful connections to develop more inclusive, emphatic, sustainable and equitable solutions. Activator 4 Good creating meaningful connections & Stakeholder Engager at Girl MOVE Academy.

Mafalda Freitas

Passionate about innovation, technology, design and arts, and how to combine them for creating business with purpose and building a better world. Experienced management & innovation consultant with a demonstrated history of working in multiple industries, led and coached several teams, including in international and multicultural contexts. Working now as Head of MovHers & New business Development at Girl MOVE Academy.

Alexandra Barreto

Alexandra Barreto is Executive Director of Strategic Development and External Relations at the Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics. She developed her career in multinational companies, in Portugal and abroad, in Management positions in different Business Units; Commercial; Marketing & Communication. She has consolidated experience in the Development of People and Teams, namely in Outplacement Consulting, Talent Development and Career Management, as well as Training, Recruitment and Selection. Obtained Advanced Certification in Transformative Coaching in the United States.

João Cotter Salvado

João is currently an Assistant Professor at Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics. His research has been recognized with grants from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), the Deloitte Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and the Strategic Management Society (SRF Program). In the past, João was the Research Director at IES – Social Business School and co-founded several impact ventures, including two international NGOs currently working in Mozambique and São Tomé e Príncipe.

Inês Moreira Barreto

Bsc. in Management (CATÓLICA SBE) & MA in Management, major in social enterprises (Nova SBE). Inês is currently working on Girl MOVE Academy, coordinating Changemaker LAB, which is an intensive program where young Mozambican women work with grassroot communities to test and validate ideas turning them into effective solutions for economic & social challenges in Mozambique.
