CHALLENGE UPDATES
KICK-OFF
1, 2, 3 IGNITE!
In April, Girl MOVERS had their first Changemaker LAB session and started the kickoff. In a meeting in our academy in Nampula, they got to know the 7 challenges for 2021, the work teams, and the facilitators, tutors and partners they can count on during the process. The urgency on providing answers to the current community challenges was reinforced, and for an effective change, the key is local talent. Given the starting point, the first learning was Design Thinking focused on the human being and its process: empathize ; define; ideate; prototype and test. After getting to know the results of Changemaker LAB 2020 and watching the experiences shared by Girl MOVERS Alumni, it’s 1, 2, 3 IGNITE ! Our Girl MOVERS are ready to go and more motivated than ever.
THE PROBLEM TREE
PROBLEM ANALYSIS
The Problem Tree Analysis was the tool chosen by our Girl MOVERS to structure their challenge. Here, they built a shared comprehension of the challenge questions, purpose, action and goal. This was the perfect baseline to define the team’s next steps.

The young adolescents are the main instrument to build a culture of peace and harmony, and their talent should be at the service of the community to generate social impact. For this, Girl MOVERS prepared an ideation session with the young displaced people to develop an innovative solution able to use local talents, empowering them and promoting the proximity of the displaced community towards the hosting community.
